Porch & Newel Posts
PORCH & NEWEL POST™ designs capture the elegant style of a turned, painted wood post without the maintenance. Underneath the classic design of these porch posts is a load-bearing aluminum column with a capacity of either 2,500 lbs., 5,000 lbs., or 8,500 lbs. Hurricane Lock™ post bases prevent wind uplift, and eliminate roof jacking during installation. 4-piece trim collars install easily to finish the job. Structural Newel Posts are available with flush-mount bases that bolt to any surface, or in thru-deck style for attachment to any structural member. Thru-deck porch posts and newel posts can also be used in masonry applications where core mounting is desired.
