A MESSAGE FROM OUR FAMILY

With the passing of our beloved president, Andy Terrels, we have discovered much about our company. We reaffirmed that we are more than an organization; we are a family. Our RDI family has suffered a terrible loss and through this difficult time we have learned what a strong, wonderful group of people we are and how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to do that we love with the people we love. Through this time we are especially thankful for the tremendous outpouring of loving support we have received from you, our partners - our "extended family" all across the country. The care and concern we have received from so many of you has, and continues to be, amazing and we thank you for your support as our family gains healing strength.

2010 FOR HOME, FOR LIFE® CONTEST WINNERS

Thanks to you, our 2010 For Home, For Life® promotion was a great success. Our goal was to encourage selling our products while generating excitement throughout our distributing partners, and we feel we have accomplished both of these goals.

RDI RECEIVES 2 PATENTS

The month of June was quite an exciting month for RDI, especially for our New Product Development Team. It was the first time in RDI's history that two products became nationally recognized with the issuance of patents by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in a single month. The first patent, Post and Railing Assembly with Support Bracket Covers (US 7,731,160), which applies to the Titan Pro Rail® vinyl-clad aluminum railing system, was issued on June 8, 2010. The second patent, Railing Assembly with Detachable and Upgradeable Components (US 7,744,065), which applies to the Novaline® customizable, low-maintenance railing system was issued on June 29, 2010.

RDI GETS READY FOR A NEW LOOK

It's that time of year again when everything begins its Fall transformation. We've decided to follow suit as well, beginning with the transformation of our website from its current state to one that is more user friendly and more interactive. RDI FEATURED IN WELCOME HOME TV SHOW

RDI was excited to be chosen for the Time Warner Network's NY based television show, Welcome Home. The purpose of the segment, which aired in August, was to demonstrate how easy it is for a DIY'er to complete a typical railing installation on a backyard gazebo. We were particularly flattered that of all the railing products in the market, Welcome Home chose RDI as the product-of-choice to demonstrate how easy it is for an "Average Joe" to do this type of railing project. We hope that the airing of this episode helps spread the word that RDI products are truly the easiest products on the market to install.
