Since the first truck loads of Titan Pro Rail left the manufacturing facility at the end of March, the response has been astounding. Titan Pro Rail is the result of customer demand for a low-cost, low-maintenance product to help suppliers through the struggles of the industry’s painful recession. A price-competitive, IRC compliant, metal system clad in vinyl, Titan is ideal for both commercial and residential applications. Titan’s heavy duty cast aluminum brackets are pre-attached to the steel posts and the vinyl exterior and aluminum rail stiffeners can be easily cut on site allowing easy assembly in minutes.

New Endurance Product Release:
90 Degree Post Return

The Endurance 90 Degree Post Return for use with the Endurance Graspable Handrail system is now available for immediate sale. This post return is powder-coated cast aluminum, and is packaged with one return and three #12 x 1” white headed screws to a bag. This simple installation requires inserting a return into each end of a handrail lineal (with the internal stiffener trimmed to fit) and fastening the returns to the post with the supplied screws.

Did you know that RDI offers Endurance in-fill baluster options?

Inspired by the success of RDI’s customizable Novaline® systems, released in January 2007, RDI offers new baluster in-fill options for use with Endurance Original Rail® and Endurance Deck Rail® kits. In addition to the Endurance square and turned profiles, customers now have the option to choose from square, turned, belly, glass, or ¾” round iron balusters.

The Endurance Glass Baluster is a clear, 3/16” x 3 3/4” x 38 glass panel which sets securely in Endurance level and stair kits, the Endurance Belly Baluster is a bowed, white vinyl baluster, and the Endurance Round Iron Baluster is a ¾” baluster, available in black or antique bronze, with a straight, single basket or double basket design.

All in-fill baluster options are available for all Endurance Original and Endurance Deck Rail residential height level kits and residential height stair kits and are sold separately.

RDI featured on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition television show.

RDI was excited to be chosen for ABC’s award winning television show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with Ty Pennington. The episode, entitled “The Lucas Family”, aired on March 3, and featured RDI’s Endurance® Original level and stair railing.

The home, located in Farmville, Virginia, was modeled after an old colonial Virginia home which had inspired Mr. Lucas to begin building shortly before being deployed to Iraq. This 3000 square foot home features state-of-the-art designs and on the exterior, includes a full front porch with back porch fashioned with Endurance Original level and stair railing in white, with Endurance square balusters. Standing behind the home is a smaller garage also featuring white Endurance Original railing, with square balusters.

Endurance Railing chosen by Nadra for the 2007 Deck for a Soldier Program

On July 3, 2008, the $20,000 new deck for Staff Sgt. Brian Daughters was completed- for free. The deck, located in Glen Burnie, MD, was donated by the Maryland Chapter of the North American Deck and Railing Association and features Endurance Original Level, Stair, and Graspable Hand Railing, donated by Railing Dynamics in conjunction with Snavely Forest Products.

Ray Steward, President of RSW Decks, who is also on the NADRA Board of Directors, said, “The experience was tremendously unifying. Competing manufacturers and deck builders sat around at the meetings all working together to make the industry better as a whole.”

The 4”x4”x39” (in white, earth and sand), 4”x4”x45” (white only) and 4”x4”x108” (white only) post sleeves are all available as bagged product and can vary, depending on Dealer cost, as much as 20% lower than comparable boxed product! Success Stories: Carter Lumber and Titan

Carter Lumber, a Titan stocking Dealer, has recently converted its railing business from an RDI competing railing line to Titan Pro Rail. Carter Lumber, one of the nation’s top building supply retailers, is carrying Titan Pro Rail in 141 of is 200 stores and according to RDI Territory Sales Manager, David Buzzie, things are going extremely well. “The feedback from contractors has been overwhelmingly positive, how well it (Titan) goes together. Everything, from the store to contractor, it has all been very positive” said Buzzie. “Not only is it doing that but overall, we’re having a lot of success with the entire (Endurance) line as well.”

RDI and ASI Building Products Go For the Gold

The movement toward green building continues to gain momentum, and the race for manufactures to create the next big building green product is on. Recently, ASI Building Products and RDI participated in contributing to the building of Florida’s only green home in Florida to date that has been certified as “Gold” by the U.S. Green Building Coalition under its LEED program. Of particular interest, featured on the exterior of the model home is Novaline® railing, a paintable, stainable, non-toxic, recyclable railing system manufactured by RDI, and distributed in Florida by ASI . According to Zach Fornuto, Territory Sales Manager for RDI, “We are extremely proud to be a part of this ground-breaking project. The trend toward more environmentally friendly products is growing rapidly and we’re excited to be able to provide a product that fills this niche”.
